What is the Nakba? Did the Palestinians flee, or were they expelled? Who are the Palestinian refugees? Does learning about the Nakba and the right of return mean Jews have to give up their rights in the country? How is the Nakba part of our reality today? How can learning about the Nakba open up new horizons for the future?
Zochrot offers courses and lectures across the country and online for individuals and groups interested in learning more about the Nakba. Learning about the Nakba is challenging for many Israelis: It unsettles the foundations of most everything they have been taught, but it also arouses curiosity and hope. Learning about the Nakba is an opportunity to break free from the shackles of the collective memory and to establish relations between Israelis-Jews and Palestinians, based on equality, recognition and accountability.
Please note that most of our materials and activities are in Hebrew, as our main audience is Jewish Israelis.
