You are invited to a special tour of the city of Nazareth—Al-Nasira in Arabic.
What happened in the city in 1948, and how did the Nakba affect its continued existence?
After the guided tour, which will last about two hours and a short talk after (30 min), an additional free hour will be dedicated for you to explore the Al-Souq- the market and city center independently.

10:00 AM – 14:00 PM
Meeting point: Mary’s Well (Al-A’in) 10:00 AM.
Transportation from Jaffa-Tel Aviv will depart from 1 HaThiya St., near Bloomfield (al-Bassa) Stadium, Gate 12, in Jaffa, at 8:30.
We will begin the tour at Al-A’in/city center Square with a general explanation of Nazareth's history, including its state before and during the Nakba, and expand on the city in the present day. We will continue to the Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, one of the central sites reflecting Nazareth's important role in Christianity. There, we will hear about the church and the role of religious institutions before and during the Nakba. We will then tour the alleys of the Old City and the market, listen to stories about the market in the past, its condition in recent years, and the new projects initiated by local residents, especially the women of the city to reclaim their space and return to the market and revive it.
At the end of the tour, participants will have a free hour to enjoy the area. We will meet again at the square at 14:00 PM for transportation.
