Zochrot is hosting a study tour on the Nakba and ongoing Nakba at thethe destroyed village of al-Lajjun, located 35 km southeast of Haifa.
Date: Saturday, 9.9.2023 Time: 11:30 - 13:30
During the tour, participants will explore the village's history, the circumstances of its occupation, and the expulsion of its 1280 inhabitants in May 1948. They will also witness the effects of Israeli efforts to erase its existence over the past 75 years since the Nakba.
The tour will be conducted in both Hebrew and Arabic languages.
The 2-km walking route is of moderate difficulty.
Transportation from Jaffa-Tel Aviv will depart from 1 HaThiya St., near Bloomfield (al-Bassa) Stadium, Gate 12, in Jaffa, at 10:00.
