On this annual day of commemoration of the Nakba, join our educational tour to the depopulated Palestinian village of Ayn Karim. We will try to reveal the Nakba hidden beneath the pastoral serenity, and point out Israeli efforts to conceal information and shape the physical and symbolic landscape.

Ayn Karim was conquered in July 1948, its Palestinian residents were expelled and their return was prevented by the State of Israel. However, most of their homes are still standing, though they appear invisible.

During the tour we will walk through the alleys of the village and stop by a few houses, the village’s cemetery and Mary’s spring to hear some information.

The trail is about two kilometers of easy walk

The tour is part of the "Ten Days of Return" activities Zochrot is holding this year to mark the 74th anniversary of the Nakba, and the twentieth anniversary of Zochrot.

A bus will depart from Tel Aviv,  31 Hagdud HaIvri St., at 10:00.
