Tour of the Palestinian Villages of Northern Tel Aviv

Al-Shaykh Muwannis, Al-Jammasin al-Gharbi, Summayl (Al-Mas'udiyya), and the cemetery near the Hilton

Date: Friday, April 11, 2011, 9:00-12:00

Meeting point: Corner of Levanon and George Weiss Streets, near the Tel Aviv University in Al-Shaykh Muwannis

Public transportation: Dan bus lines 24, 31 or 271. By train, get off at the University Station, from which you can arrive to the meeting point on foot.

The tour includes transportation from village to village.

The tour in Tel Aviv's Palestinian villages will be guided by Michael Jacobson, who has written the relevant chapter in Zochrot's tour book Once upon a Land.

Mr. Jacobson will talk in Hebrew, but English and Arabic interpretation will be available.

OmrimYeshna Eretz/ Hikayat Balad – Once upon a Land – offers 18 tours in Arabic and Hebrew in Palestinian neighborhoods and villages whose inhabitants were expelled by Israel during the Nakba and largely destroyed.
